Are You Interested in Being a Member of the Alabama Girls State Staff

Junior Counselors are staff members who are returning to Alabama Girls State for the first and second time since their delegate year. Their primary duty is to assist Senior Counselors in leading delegates through all of the week’s events.  Junior Counselors attend all General Sessions and staff meetings, lead the delegates in singing during assemblies, and other duties as assigned by the AGS Chairman and Director.

Those interested in becoming Junior Counselors should be ready to work hard to make the week a success and be willing to follow instructions.  Being a Junior Counselor at Alabama Girls State is rewarding experience, but it is also hard work. As with all staff positions at Alabama Girls State, Junior Counselors must work hard, be dependable, be capable of following directions, and be committed to making the program a success. All Counselors for ALA Girls State are expected to be members of the American Legion Auxiliary

If you are interested in serving as a Junior Counselor for Alabama Girls State, please complete the following application by March 15, 2022.
